Dr. Harold Elke grew up in Southern Alberta, attended the University of Lethbridge, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1978. He went on to attend the University of Alberta Dental School; upon completion in 1982, he returned to Lethbridge to start the first dental practice in the town of Picture Butte and took over the operation of the Milk River dental practice as well. In 1995 Dr. Elke started his first dental practice in Lethbridge and finally in 2004 he designed and built the ultra modern Integrity Dental Centre in the heart of downtown Lethbridge.

Dr. Elke is a general family dentist, who for 25 years has focused his training in the area of Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Elke initially focused on Orthodontics, and has studied with a world renowned orthodontist, Dr. Coco Garcia from California, for over 25 years. Dr. Elke has completed over 1000 cases using both fixed and functional orthodontic appliances. His journey into cosmetic dentistry began in 1992 under the direction of Doctors Frank Spear and John Kois of Seattle, completing their course Creating Restorative Excellence in 1996. In 1999 Dr. Elke went to further study cosmetics at Las Vegas Institute and continues to study there now. While studying at LVI he has learned techniques in neuromuscular dentistry which he utilizes to treat problems associated with chronic headaches and Temporomandibular disorders. Dr. Elke has continued his study in this area with Dr. Clayton Chan, who developed the curriculum at LVI for Neuromuscular.

Dr Elke was the founder of the first dental study club in Lethbridge, the Lethbridge Association for Progressive Dentistry “LAPD”, and works closely with many of his colleagues to promote the dental communities education in Lethbridge.

He is the father of two daughters, Arielle and Bianca ages 20 and 21, who live with their mother in Germany. He is a licensed scuba diver, sky diver, airplane pilot and helicopter pilot. Travel is a passion for Dr. Elke. This passion has lead him to perform dentistry out of a back pack while in the Northern Highlands of Thailand and in the Amazon jungle of Peru.

Harold is a unique and down to earth individual who strives, everyday, with his accomplished staff, to provide the best quality of dentistry to his patients. Dr. Elke works closely with the leading specialists in Southern Alberta to ensure that through a team approach his patients receive the finest care in all phases of dentistry.
